CDTire/FlexRim

This functionality is only available in conjunction with the tire model CDTire/3D. Starting with CDTire release 2023.1.1, to significantly improve the higher frequency ranges, this release enables the connection of a CDTire/3D instance to a flexible rim representation modeled by dedicated MBS solvers, like ADAMS and SIMPACK. The flexible rim feature enables the user to perform full vehicle NVH simulations. The technology presents an extension of frequency range for NVH application of the physical tire model CDTire/3D to even 500 Hz and more using a newly developed interface to a flexible rim. This advance allows to take the effect of a completely flexible wheel assembly for the NVH performance of a vehicle into account.
