CDTire/Thermal

CDTire/Thermal is a fully 3D finite volume-based tire model with a fine resolution in thickness, circumferential and lateral dimension. With respect to the finite difference approach, the finite volume approach is fully stable and conservative. It can be coupled with a fully 3D structural mechanical tire model CDTire/3D, CDTire/Realtime and CDTire/MF++. In this case the structural energy dissipation and the material property are modelled in a detailed physical way. It runs with real time and can be used on the driving simulator. Typical applications range from advanced handling to rolling resistance and motorsport and racing.
